Last November, I had the privilege of traveling to Thailand. After almost canceling the trip due to massive flooding and concerned friends and loved ones, fate and my analytical self took over.  I was not going to throw all that money away and they were non-refundable tickets.  Decisions, decisions. Sometimes, you need a little push to do things out of your comfort zone.

This past week I had the opportunity to wander around the city of Amsterdam, and in between touristing and sightseeing and taking pictures of birds and cats, I took note of some of the unexpected art to be found along the way.

I was kind of cynical about starting a blog back in the day but I’m glad I did–here’s why:

  • Blogging makes me see my life differently. Ever since I started blogging, I’ve seen my life as a story that I’m telling other people. Because I want to tell a good story I’m always on the lookout for the funny, the silly, the beautiful, the meaningful–the moments that help me connect with others and share my story in a way that interest them.
