Last November, I had the privilege of traveling to Thailand. After almost canceling the trip due to massive flooding and concerned friends and loved ones, fate and my analytical self took over. I was not going to throw all that money away and they were non-refundable tickets. Decisions, decisions. Sometimes, you need a little push to do things out of your comfort zone.

Having the life you want is a lot of hard work. If I want a clean house, well dang it, I have to clean it. If I want money then I have to get out of bed and work for it–and in working for it, I have to set aside a lot of other things that I might rather be doing.
This past week I had the opportunity to wander around the city of Amsterdam, and in between touristing and sightseeing and taking pictures of birds and cats, I took note of some of the unexpected art to be found along the way.
I was kind of cynical about starting a blog back in the day but I’m glad I did–here’s why:
